Announcing Photo Contest Event
Terms & Conditions:
By submitting your photos, you agree to allow the Bouchie Lake Watershed Stewardship Society to use the photos for the following purposes: social media, digital print documents and hard copy (e.g. brochures), website, and possibly a calendar. You acknowledge and agree that all submissions may be reproduced and published (without notice or compensation) in any electronic media and any printed material. Credit to the photographer will be given.
Eligibility:
This contest is open to anyone who resides in Canada.
General Conditions
The Bouchie Lake Watershed Stewardship Society (BLWSS) accepts no responsibility for entries lost, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, delayed or destroyed or for the failure or malfunction of any hardware, software relating to entries. The BLWSS has the right to terminate or suspend this contest or to modify the contest rules at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.
All entries become the property of the BLWSS.
By submitting photos selected winners agree to comply with these rules and agree to the publication, reproduction, and/or other use of his/her name, statements about the contest, and/or personal photograph or other likeness without further compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the BLWSS in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast, or digital.
Entries will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, altered or tampered with in any way. Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the independent judging panel, which are final.
NEW for 2026! Now is the time for submissions to BLWSS Photo Contest. Deadline September 15. This is your chance to show off your photography skills and knowledge of the Bouchie Lake Watershed, and win glory and the admiration of your peers. Photos must fall into the following categories: Wildlife (including birds), Scenic Landscapes, Plants.
Judging this contest will be by members of the Bouchie Lake Watershed Stewardship Society.
Here are the Photo Submission Guidelines:
You must be the owner and photographer of the photo
Photos must be taken within the Bouchie lake Watershed (map below). All submissions must include information on the locale where the photo(s) was taken.
The photos must fall into these categories: Wildlife (including birds), Scenic Landscapes, Plants (trees, shrubs, aquatic plants).
Photos must be clear (sharp) high resolution photos as selected photos may be used on the BLWSS’s website, on social media, on signage, and /or informational brochures. Photo credit will be given.
Limit of 4 images per person
The image must be a photograph (not digital art, painting or illustration)
The maximum file size is up to 10 MB and we have no preferences with regards to dimensions
JPEG files only
Keep digital alterations to a minimum (such as filters)
Photographs to be submitted via email to blwatershedss@gmail.com
Any submissions after September 15, 2026 will not be accepted.
Fundraising Event 7th Annual Poker Paddle at Milburn Lake 22nd August 2026
Our thanks go out to our business sponsors who are supporting the event with donations to prize baskets from Bouchie Lake Farm & Feed, Canadian Tire, Reason to Run, Rocky Peak Adventures, Rocky's, Safeway Foods, Save-On Foods, Travel Best Bets, West Central Supply, West Side Liquor Store & Willis Harper. Thanks also to Aroma Foods for providing the supplies for the concession.
This fundraising event raised over $2,000 last year which will be used to improve the amenities at the access site.
