Within our bank account we track four categories of income and expenses:
General refers to the day to day income and expenses of the society. Income is essentially $3000/year from the CRD for upkeep and maintenance of the public access sites on both Bouchie & Milburn lakes, plus donations and memberships. Expenses include supplies and pumping out costs for the outhouses, supplies for the garbage bins on both lakes, plus meeting expenses (hall rental), office supplies, banking and government society fees. Routine maintenance of the public access sites is carried out by our society's volunteer labour.
Bouchie Lake refers specifically to funds targeted for Bouchie Lake.
Milburn Lake refers specifically to funds targeted for Milburn Lake.
Fund raising refers to funds not yet allocated for a specific purpose.
An annual review of the society's finances is conducted by Essential Business Services in Quesnel.
Our financial year runs from April 1st to March 31st of each year.
In the interests of transparency a copy of our current spreadsheet is available to any paid up member upon request.
